Upon entering Sinner's Road, proceed through the initial long corridor teeming with Muckroaches. These hound-like enemies lunge and grab, dealing significant damage, so proceed with caution, using cages for cover and practicing downward strikes. Navigate this area by wall-jumping up elevated cages and platforms.

Eventually, you'll spot a hanging signpost indicating a bench. Continue wall-jumping higher, using the suspended cages, until you reach a platform with a doorway to the right. Inside this room, you’ll find Shakra, who sells the Sinner's Road map for 90 Rosaries, and the elusive bench mechanism itself.

The Broken Bench: An Unsettling Discovery

Interacting with the bench mechanism and paying 60 Rosaries will unfortunately reveal that it's jammed and won't fully rise. How to Fix the Sinner's Road Bench

Repairing the Sinner's Road bench involves locating a hidden passage and navigating a gauntlet of complex platforming challenges.

Step 1: Locate the Hidden Path

Begin by climbing the wall directly to the left of the broken bench. Once you reach the top, strike the rocky section of the wall to reveal a secret passage. This hidden entryway leads to the mechanism's obstruction.

Step 2: Navigate the Gauntlet of Traps

The path ahead is a perilous sequence of swinging pendulums, spikes, and shifting platforms designed to test your precision and movement skills.

• First Set of Pendulums: You'll encounter two swinging spike traps. Pogo off the first, longer pendulum as it approaches, then immediately jump onto the shorter one, gliding to the platform on the other side.
• Second Set of Pendulums: Ahead lie two more swinging pendulums. Time your pogo jump from the first, gliding to land on the second, and then finally reach the next platform.
• Downward Section: Descend carefully through a section filled with more swinging pendulums and spike-lined walls. You can choose to wall-jump or glide down, prioritizing evasion of the traps. Upon landing at the bottom, replenish your Silk if needed by breaking nearby spools of thread.
• Third Set of Pendulums: To the right, another series of pendulums awaits. Pogo across them to a small platform.
• Final Pendulum Gauntlet: Four pendulums stand between you and your goal: two swinging, one stationary, and another swinging. Pogo onto the first longer swinging pendulum, then glide directly to the stationary one, skipping the second swinging trap. From the stationary pendulum, pogo onto the final swinging one to reach the platform on the far side.

Step 3: Repair the Mechanism

From the final platform, head right. You'll enter a pool of poison water, infested with maggots. Hornet will become poisoned, which depletes your Silk gauge rather than dealing immediate damage. While inconvenient, it's unavoidable here. Swim across to the platform on the other side.

Here, you will find the bench's mechanism tangled in thick vines. Attack and destroy these vines to clear the obstruction and successfully repair the Sinner's Road bench.

Step 4: Return to the Fixed Bench

With the mechanism now functional, a shortcut back to the bench is available. Look to your left and wall-jump up the section of wall. Continue left, wall-jumping up another section. At the top, attack the ceiling to break through. This will emerge you near the first set of swinging pendulums you crossed earlier.

From this elevated position, glide over the two swinging pendulums to the right (no need to pogo this time) and drop down. You will land directly beside your now-fixed Sinner's Road bench, finally able to rest and save your progress!
